The fascinating journey of a management intern

Perhaps the most important realization that an individual can make in their quest for personal growth is that there is no single formula that defines the path to personal success. To be successful is to understand what is important to you, to strive for balance as well as open new doors in life.

For Mohit, loyalty and trust are two virtues which are prerequisites of being successful. And Mohit Malhotra adorned them beautifully during his 23 years of association with Dabur.

The ecstasy of being the CEO at this young age can be seen in that slight grin on Mohit’s face. A young boy who joined Dabur as an Intern in 1994, today rules it as the captain of its international division. His legacy as a captain started the moment Mohit turned around Dabur Egypt from the brink of closure into a flourishing business.

Mohit believes : “The steps of being a transformational leader are difficult but the outcome is fantastic”.

Another instance of his sheer brilliance, as the captain, came to the fore when Mohit convinced Dabur’s Board in naming the company’s Hair Serum product as ‘Dabur Amla Snake Oil’ – a decision Mohit took based on the resident population’s comfort and familiarity with this unusual term. Mohit’s bold decision, along with innovative marketing, eventually converted Dabur Amla Snake Oil into a marquee brand worth 15 Million Dirhams.

As the CEO of Dabur international he has grown the company both in stature and revenue. With annual revenues of over $300 million Dabur International has become the Largest Indian FMCG Company operating in the internationally with key markets across the USA, the UK, Russia, Middle East, Turkey, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, & South East Asia, employing 1700 employees in the company’s offices spread across 4 continents.
